I’m Tyler Rigg, the Athletic Director/PE Teacher here at our amazing school. This is my second year teaching at ACS and I’m beyond thrilled to be here.

My favorite part about being an ACS employee is that I get to share with your children two things I am most passionate about. Those two things are God and sports. I grew up with the most loving and encouraging parents who made a huge impact on my spiritual life. I also attended Christian school from Preschool - 12th grade. It’s my goal to pass on that love for the Lord to your children. I’ve always lived by the verse 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

I love that our school has a 6th grade student council. I believe it is the perfect opportunity them to conduct themselves as an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

Though my time is limited with our students during class, I’m also know as the “Lunch Duty Man.” This time allows me to watch the your kids have fun at recess. I enjoy the opportunity to have quality conversations with them each day and encourage them to set excellent examples not only in the classroom, but at recess as well.

Sports has always been a strong passion of mine. I played a wide variety of sports at an early age, and also played volleyball professionally for two years. I currently coach at a nationally recognized volleyball club in Sunnyvale eight months out of the year. This coaching knowledge has helped to equip me during Physical Education classes .

While in class, I enjoy working with athletes of all levels. My goal is to make sure every student finds at least one sport they enjoy, and that this foundation will allow them to stay active throughout their life. My favorite sport to teach at ACS is swim. We are so fortunate to have two beautiful pools at ACS. In swim class, the students develop swim stroke skills and confidence in the water. Selfishly, I love swim classes!  When it’s free time, I usually take a dip in the pool and play fun pool games with the kids. BEST JOB EVER!
