Mrs. Rebecca Benanti has been a part of Achiever since 1998. While here, she has worked as a kindergarten aide, a fourth grade teacher, and is currently in her sixth year teaching fifth grade. She is in her second year of being lead teacher for the intermediate grades.
Mrs. Benanti graduated from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Business Management and minoring in Economics. She received her ACSI teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University. She has also received special training in differential instruction, multi-intelligence, classroom management, classroom reading, Six Traits in Writing, and classroom technology.
Before Achiever, Mrs. Benanti worked at Lockheed for six years as the program planner on a top secret program. She and her husband, Stephen, then decided to start a family. Mrs. Benanti stayed home to raise her daughter, Alex, and was introduced to Achiever when Alex started preschool here. Alex graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is married and is living on the east coast.
When Mrs. Benanti is not teaching she has enjoyed coaching soccer for the Special Olympics. She enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking and kayaking. Her favorite places are the beach and mountains.
While at school Mrs. Benanti’s favorite subject to teach is math. She also enjoys interacting with students as they learn and grown. She says the best thing about teaching children here at ACS is, “The opportunity to serve God!” Mrs. Benanti sets a godly example showing the love of Jesus to her students.
